“He who hesitates is lost.” This is an old saying, but one in which there is more than a grain of truth. When we make up our minds to do something that has perhaps been on our minds, pro and con, for many weeks and then hesitate because someone may be inconvenienced by our desire, we are on the road to being lost, for in that indecision creeps doubt and all the negative fears that we can summon up.
We know, to the best of our ability, what our desires may be and our goal in life. We try to fulfill these desires and thereby grow and come nearer to this coveted goal. We can only do this by maintaining a positive atmosphere of good and the knowledge that everything works together for our good in the life -- even seeming disaster.
What of the risks, the promises that may not turn out to be all that we desire? Well, what about them? If we accept in good faith all that comes our way, excluding all the fears, doubts and negative vibrations, we cannot lose and indeed stand to gain, not just the promises extended but far more than we could even dream about.
You may not realize this, but your unrest, your feelings that you wanted change in your position, were not just self-imposed -- no, they were dictated by Spirit where the need for this change was clearly seen.
We must keep out of the ruts of life, expanding, growing, trying the new and letting no grass grow under our feet. We have the indwelling Spirit of God within and we, if we use the silence, can find our own best road of life. We know instinctively when we err, when we go wrong, so trust the current that knows its way. Go forward with the flood tide, knowing that you are making the right move for it is time to move on to better things in all departments of your life. Do not look back with regret, but go forward and the world is yours.
