We must cultivate a happy frame of mind and, in time, it will cause us to smile more.
A smile costs nothing yet gives so much to others that it is often incalculable the good it can do, not only for others but for ourselves.
In order to smile we must feel inside a happy, good feeling so that the smile will not be forced or be at all mechanical. There is nothing much worse than a forced smile for it says and does nothing for anyone.
We must cultivate a happy frame of mind and, in time, it will cause us to smile more. We should overlook the negative inasmuch as we can and dwell only on the good aspects of life. In so doing, we will cultivate a happier and a more positive frame of mind; one that is more conducive to smile and not to frown.
Habits are strange things and soon become so ingrained upon our spirit that it is hard to break them and think along another line. But if we truly desire to further our own best interests and become what we would like to be in ideal, we must break off with the old and establish the new.
In due time the new, happier frame of mind will cause the sunshine to spread to our face and so light up the countenance that our smiles will attract us to others and to right living and right truth.
