The whole world faces change and a vast one, the greatest change though must come in our way of thinking.
When we are said to be thoughtful, it does not necessarily hold that by this is meant full of helpful, kindly thoughts, although this interpretation is pretty much the one all believe to be true. By being thoughtful, we mean full of kindly, upbuilding, constructive, loving thoughts that are helpful to all mankind.
Humanity in general faces and fears depressing, unhealthy thoughts due to the greatly accelerated age in which we now live. Change in all things, and even in values, is something that is occurring so rapidly that we are not accustomed to adjusting our thoughts to encompass these vast changes in our way of life.
The electronic field, the atomic age, the machines that, because of the atomic energy implanted, become almost human; these cause such a change in the way of life that men are bewildered by it. The jet planes overhead bring distances into a relationship that seems disquieting to those who realize its implications.
The whole world faces change and a vast one, the greatest change though must come in our way of thinking. No longer can we sit by and see small nations lose their existence by being swallowed up by a greater power -- we know that it could happen to us.
No, we no longer can stand alone; we must realize that all humanity must learn to live harmoniously on the same planet with fair laws of life for all, or all must perish in the resultant chaotic wars of survival. The weapons are now lethal for all nations and no one nation can hold for long power over another.
The only answer to all this is to learn the laws of life or God’s law -- the law of love, and so live that all may benefit and the millennium may be here now.
