We all keep attics of relics in the mind and like to bring them out and go over them every once in a while.
Our minds are our workshop. What we put in them we work on and make into plans or designs for living. It is our life.
Most minds are like homes; they become cluttered by old outworn things that should be put into discard. We all keep attics of relics in the mind and like to bring them out and go over them every once in a while. They are ideas and obsessions that we cannot seem to rid ourselves of, and yet the more we cling to them the more we become slaves to them.
All possessions of whatever kind are encumbrances which we could easily do without, yet we fear to let them go for sometimes we think they might come in handy. Is this ever really true in this land of abundance and plenty?
Our ideas and ideals constantly change or, if they do not, they should change for otherwise we are not growing, but are stagnant and cannot see for our own obstructions. We are often our own enemies though we, of course, do not realize this fact.
Clear out the old encumbrances -- the old ideas and ideals that you have long since grown away from. Do not look back on the past. Look ahead to the glorious future, and keep in mind only the good and only the good will return to you.
