Hidden Talents

We cannot all be great artists but all can and do have talents, many that they could hardly realize because they are not brought out or exploited enough. 

 

Everyone has some talent, some gift which they can develop and perfect once they discover what that talent may be. Too there are many whose talents are numerous, but we speak now of those whose talents remain submerged, undiscovered, and they are legion. Often it is due to inherent fears, insecurity and other negative traits that are in the person’s makeup that keep the talents undiscovered.  

The persons involved may greatly admire some whose talents have been developed and yet he or she cannot realize that their potential may be even greater had they developed the talent they already possess.  

How is this brought about, you ask? How discovered? By simply casting aside all fears and doubts and going ahead with the strong desire uppermost in your mind and then you would find great pleasure and exultation in the quest and its result.

“Seek and ye will find.  Ask and it will be added unto you.” [These are] admonitions to be heeded by all.

Expectations

We make our own experiences as we need them and as we react to the events and circumstances of our lives. 

 

What we expect in life has a great tendency to come true, if we hold to it fast and truly believe. I do not mean that because we may desire wealth that it will automatically be ours because we expect it. Oh no, we must also work with our desires if we expect them to bear fruit. Mere wishful thinking will never produce the results we desire.

Have you ever heard someone say that they are sure they will die from some disease? Often this actually proves true because, by that person’s expectation of it, he has drawn it to himself. We make our own experiences as we need them and as we react to the events and circumstances of our lives. As someone has so aptly stated, “It is not so much what happens to us that counts but our attitude towards it, and reaction counts everything.”

Suppose we find a great disappointment in life -- what then? Does it break you up completely, or do you take it in stride and say, “Well, it just wasn’t to be?”  What a world of difference in these two attitudes of mind. The results too are such that it is almost impossible to see just how far reaching in a life this could be.

Watch yourself that you are not crushed by circumstance and fail to stand up to life and its challenges.

Conquer Self

Our thought life, if at all negative, must be recharged with positive thoughts that give us a more vital and vibrant attitude ...

 

When we conquer self, we conquer the world for it is only through ourselves that this is actually possible. We must be strong within to bear the strife and burdens of life. We must have love within for all creation and know that though we may not understand all life’s problems and purposes, still we have love for all creatures and tolerance for others that they too may see the light and solve their special problems as we are striving to solve ours.

Patience too is a very necessary attribute to acquire. In fact, it is a necessity if we are truly to master the self within. Our thought life, if at all negative, must be recharged with positive thoughts that give us a more vital and vibrant attitude and keep us on the crest of the wave rather than allowing us to become inundated by the negative attitudes.

This current of life that flows through all can be so charged that we become more keenly aware of all life that is around and about us. It will give us a great deal of enjoyment and happiness when we follow this path. It is not easy, nothing really worthwhile ever is, but once attained and we hold to it, we are the master. Our way is lightened and our burdens as nothing compared to the old way.

All is not gained at once, but when we plod steadily on in this vein we will win through and the rewards are many.

Self Belief

Believe, have faith in the self within for you are adequate to all that comes into your life ...

 

The strength, the power, the health-giving thoughts of life are possible for all to have, for all to receive if we but tune in to these positive vibrations. We must first aspire, then we are inspired and life is revealed to us as it never before has been presented. We find our senses are intensified and we respond to outside influences as never before possible.  

Our minds, if so attuned, can act as spiritual antennas attracting to us all the good that we need and desire. Why then do we hold back from such conditions? Only because doubt and fear creep in and possess us when we should and could shut them out of our lives.  

We use what we habitually think, so always remember this truth and act and think according to your best interests and those of others who are in your environment. We shape our own destines daily by our very thoughts and habits of life.

Believe, have faith in the self within for you are adequate to all that comes into your life, and with constructive habits only the good can come.

Gratitude

 

Everyone of us has some blessing that is ours and we should indeed express gratitude to God for what blessings we enjoy.

 

Gratitude expressed is a very wonderful thing and causes the person to be more aware of the great blessings of life. We all, no matter what our position in life, have much to be thankful for.  

Everyone of us has some blessing that is ours and we should indeed express gratitude to God for what blessings we enjoy. When this is done our blessings have a way of being multiplied, perhaps because of our very awareness of their existence.   

So many times people complain and fret and are envious or jealous of others not realizing that they themselves are unique and as equally endowed with blessings, although maybe of not quite such a high caliber. For the law of attraction comes in and attracts to us just what we expect, and, unfortunately, it is not always desired. 

We must expect only the best in order to attract it, and by our life and its thoughts and actions carry out, in the full, our part so that the law may work for us and not against us.

Count your blessings each day and be grateful for you have earned them or they would not be yours to enjoy.

Material World

Love is the all-powerful thought and faith is its handmaiden and consort.

 

We live, move and have our being in a so-called material world. How material is it actually? Is it not all really spiritual when you come to analyze it? 

All material substances can be found to be of a greatly condensed substance that is held together by vibratory force. In essence the material is anything but solid, but is formed from substances in cohesion one with another. 

We ourselves, however solid we may seem, are evolved from the same sort of substances we find around and about us, differing, of course, because of divine mind, which we all have and which actually is in all nature as well.  

We have the wonderful attribute of thought, which in turn brings about action, and our very environment and all conditions about and around us are caused by the all-powerful thought process ever going on. We are, in truth, what we think, and the knowledge of our true divinity is invaluable to us to bring to us success in all we endeavor to achieve.

Love is the all-powerful thought and faith is its handmaiden and consort. Both we must have within us in order to gain the Kingdom of Heaven that lies within, the keys of which are in your own hands.

Maintain Calm

At some time in life, all face situations that are frightening and since there is a reason for all things, we must be still within and seek the remedy ...

 

Always, under all circumstances, endeavor to maintain a calm attitude of mind for in this way, and only in this way is it possible to let ideas and inspiration come into the mind.  

If we become excitable or hysterical during some event, it is not conducive to constructive thought; in fact, thoughts, except of terror and fear, are practically an impossibility. Of course, much depends on the nature of the personality. By nature some are more excitable than others, and in these persons it is harder to control the emotions in times of stress and danger. 

At some time in life, all face situations that are frightening and since there is a reason for all things, we must be still within and seek the remedy after we have done all that is possible to do at the time the event occurs. This is just a lesson of control of our fear really and a more mature outlook on happenings that come into the life of all people.

We must always be prepared, be ready for any eventuality, but by being ready I do not at all mean we should look for disaster or events that cause trouble of any sort. No, not at all, for our outlook should be cheery and happy. In this way we can and do change the vibratory forces and affect our lives for the better by a more constructive and helpful outlook.  

Seek only the good and see only the good and only the good will come to be manifest in your life.

Positive Thought

When we hold the right thoughts, no negative, destructive thoughts can come in and cause havoc.

 

Try always to see the bright side, the good side of events that happen and of people and what they may do. We often judge others by our own expectations instead of by their capacities which often are not up to what we think they are or even what they should be. The three monkeys of the fable, “See no evil, hear no evil, think no evil.” are a case in point, and will serve to illustrate what we mean. 

Maybe someone has misjudged you, even said something against you or in some manner offended you. Are you going to magnify it all out of proportion to what it is and thereby give it substance? Or will you be wise enough to ignore it and let it smother because it has nowhere to go or to grow? Whichever way you decide, the decision and the outcome rests with you.

If successful, we are often the victims of resentment on the part of those who would like to have what we enjoy. We should be flattered, but instead are incensed at the injustice of it all. It is natural to feel so, especially if one is sensitive to the good opinion of others. But remember this, the good opinion of others is as nothing when compared to the opinion we hold of ourselves.

When we hold the right thoughts, no negative, destructive thoughts can come in and cause havoc. So isn’t it only sensible to keep bright, happy, constructive thoughts in our mental atmosphere and keep our guard up so that nothing else can enter in to spoil the lovely atmosphere we are creating about us?  

It is a constant struggle, a constant battle to do so, but so worthwhile to the person who is involved. It means more than a momentary satisfaction -- it means the difference between peace and harmony and discord and strife. You make the choice.

Innate Wisdom

Wisdom is innate and inborn, and speaks to us with authority through intuition or flashes of inspiration.

 

All our failings, all our shortcomings are the results of our thinking; in other words, they are manifestations of error of thought. We often think our belief in ourselves is strong, yet when a crisis comes and we are put to the test, we sometimes fall by the wayside because we really lack faith in the self within and the ability it has to pull us through. We think, therefore we are, and so it is all along the line.   

Perhaps we have much knowledge, but it is wisdom that is the real savior of our lives and circumstances, and wisdom is only developed after long periods of time and many experiences, perhaps involving many lifetimes. We do not easily acquire true wisdom. It comes only when earned and few are they who have it in the fullness.  

Wisdom is innate and inborn, and speaks to us with authority through intuition or flashes of inspiration. It is not always followed for it is not always recognized for what it is, but when a person is endowed with wisdom we know he or she is a soul who has experienced much.   

If we listen in the silence to the still small voice within, we can have the sure knowledge as to whether or not we have attained wisdom for its voice is there and is unmistakable. It is the voice of God that speaks to us within to show us the way and the light of love within.

Negative Thoughts

 

The penalty for thoughts of envy, jealousy, resentment or kindred thoughts is not at all pleasant to contemplate.

Those who harbor these thoughts (and bear in mind that thoughts are things) will inevitably reap what they have sown. They reap the whirlwind unless they realize before it is too late just what they are doing to themselves.

Undoubtedly our thoughts are many times sensed by others who are sensitive to that degree, but many times they go awhile undetected. However, in time, the law of attraction, working as it does for or against a person, comes to the fore and brings to the person involved more of its kind. In other words we attract more of the things that are undesirable or downright negative because of the thoughts that are harbored. 

If an individual feels that someone is intensely envious, jealous or in some way resents them and detects those feelings, it is best to keep as far away from that individual as it is possible to be for we are often inadvertently affected by these thoughts if sensitive enough, and, by their very nature, they can and do make us unhappy, distressed and in every way disturbed by them. 

So we would say steer clear until the individual concerned comes to her senses and realizes what is occurring, for it cannot do anyone any good to go into that atmosphere knowing that it brings about feelings of this nature. She is only harming herself and to such an extent that it is hard to realize. No one can long harbor such thoughts without having them manifest adversely, bringing more of their own kind, for like attracts like and no good can come from such attitudes.

Do not seek to show such persons the light for they are not, in their present state, ready for it and would only further resent you. Keep apart and use prayer and hope that time will make the cure.
