Laws of Life

 

 The most important law, and the one that is so often broken by unseeing man, is the law of love.

Life is, was and ever shall be, for life is spirit and life is all in all, and through all, in every form and in every department of being. At first thought, this may appear to be not true but truth is sometimes more strange than otherwise. Yes, life is all there is and nothing is ever lost. What appears to us to be solid is, in reality, not at all so, for it is formed through myriads of infinitesimal atoms all of which are in constant vibration or motion and held together by the law of attraction and the law of polarity. Both laws, like all laws of nature, are in operation at all times and in all levels of life.

We are all subject to these laws and other perhaps lesser known laws of God. We cannot change them, they are eternal and in operation for our good and the good of all on the earth plane. We hear, we feel, we see, we touch, we smell and all through the laws of God. We live, move, and we participate and are a part of all in all. 

We are able through the power of the free will to keep or to break the laws in operation, but we cannot break them without repercussions of disaster when we are foolish enough to do so. However, it is only in this way that we learn and grow and make of life a worthwhile endeavor.  

The most important law, and the one that is so often broken by unseeing man, is the law of love. This law is the first to bring about our downfall if we cannot make it work for us as it was intended. It is this broken law that causes broken homes, all selfishness, jealousy, envy, pride and so many other errors that cause such tragedy in the human life. Keep this law and you will find all the others will follow.

Innate Wisdom

Wisdom is innate and inborn, and speaks to us with authority through intuition or flashes of inspiration.

 

All our failings, all our shortcomings are the results of our thinking; in other words, they are manifestations of error of thought. We often think our belief in ourselves is strong, yet when a crisis comes and we are put to the test, we sometimes fall by the wayside because we really lack faith in the self within and the ability it has to pull us through. We think, therefore we are, and so it is all along the line.   

Perhaps we have much knowledge, but it is wisdom that is the real savior of our lives and circumstances, and wisdom is only developed after long periods of time and many experiences, perhaps involving many lifetimes. We do not easily acquire true wisdom. It comes only when earned and few are they who have it in the fullness.  

Wisdom is innate and inborn, and speaks to us with authority through intuition or flashes of inspiration. It is not always followed for it is not always recognized for what it is, but when a person is endowed with wisdom we know he or she is a soul who has experienced much.   

If we listen in the silence to the still small voice within, we can have the sure knowledge as to whether or not we have attained wisdom for its voice is there and is unmistakable. It is the voice of God that speaks to us within to show us the way and the light of love within.

Evils of Envy

All of us should clean house mentally every so often and take stock of the kind of thought we allow to prevail.

 

To all who harbor jealous or envious thoughts, they should know they have a two-edged sword and that every thought of that nature boomerangs against themselves. 

They have a great lack of faith, these people, and apparently believe in luck and that some people have good fortune while others are unlucky. They do not realize that all their misfortune lies within themselves and has come into manifestation through their thought life and resulting actions -- the laws of cause and effect, and of attraction and repulsion. 

We never have a streak of so-called luck, it is never accidental; nothing is, no matter what the circumstance. All is caused by law or the breaking of established law and nothing can change that.

The greatest of all laws is the law of love. It will bring to us all good if we follow it in our lives. 

How little and how short-sighted are those who cannot see that by their jealous thoughts they hurt, not others as much but their own lives. It is like a poison that corrupts and corrodes and causes illness and many undesirable conditions in the lives of those who unwisely harbor such thoughts. 

All of us should clean house mentally every so often and take stock of the kind of thought we allow to prevail. If it is not constructive and positive and good, sweep it out just as you would dirt that is in your home.

Channels of Light and Love

We are all channels of light and love and it behooves us to make greater use of this faculty so as to gain in spiritual growth.

 

When we turn the current of life on and let the light come through, we are a perfect channel in which to gain whatever knowledge or wisdom we may need through the power of Spirit. It is somewhat like lighting a lamp. We may plug it in and turn it on, but unless the bulb is good it will not work, and so it is with us. 

We may be quiet within and wait, but perhaps there may be too many other things on our minds and that crowds out the messages that otherwise might flow in freely. We must learn to keep these impressions and idle thoughts in the background and allow only the clear messages to come into our consciousness. It is not easy, for habit is strong, but each time it is tried and is a success then it becomes easier the next time. 

We are all channels of light and love and it behooves us to make greater use of this faculty so as to gain in spiritual growth. 

We can if we so desire establish a clear line to Spirit, one in which we greatly benefit by each day having, at a precise time, a quiet period of meditation so that our stream of conscious thought is quieted and the Spirit can take over and give to us thoughts and ideas that will be helpful to us in our life. Try to, as much as is humanly possible, keep a regular time for this and the rewards will be far greater than you can know.

God is Love

The saying, “God is love.” is surely true and that is why we so earnestly seek to be in attunement with God ...

 

The hub of the universe is love. All that pertains to love is good and, in truth,  we all strive for love and its expression, though to many this is not known. 

Everything in the life is expressed and manifested because of this strong inherent desire. All good music, good deeds, inventions, in fact, all good is due to this emotion, this basic desire of our innermost nature. All seek it and, if truly desired above all else, it will be found. 

The saying, “God is love.” is surely true and that is why we so earnestly seek to be in attunement with God, and in the love vibration of our infinite being. This state brings us a peace, a satisfaction that in no other way can be found, and this state of being too is only found within. 

All without may be a manifestation of the inward state it is true, but unless correctly directed by the love power within, one is not manifesting the vibrations of love. If this were true the world would be at peace, there could be no wars, or unrest, no internal strife and we would indeed have a utopia upon the earth. 

Mankind apparently needs chastening, however, before he will see the light and truly express the God-power which he is inherently capable of expressing.

Time and thought will bring this about.

The Love Force

 

... blessed are those who grow in the light of truth and love for they shall inherit the earth and all the good therein.  

 

Love is the force, the power that in reality controls all. It is this force that causes us to act. I might add too that the lack of love causes all the distress we find on every side and every level throughout life.  

If we love people, we receive love in return. Of course, there are always exceptions to the rule, but these exceptions would be wrapped in such a degree of self-love that their true feelings would be obscured.  

We are all growing in one way or another, and blessed are those who grow in the light of truth and love for they shall inherit the earth and all the good therein.   

This we know as truth -- that all who work with love in their hearts for humanity are the chosen ones of God. They alone are capable of true and real happiness for it is in giving that we receive and in loving that we reap our rewards.  

All the lessons of life are in this one idea of love for all who are working and growing in life to achieve greater life and a truer expression of the God-power within. 

Each in his own way receives and gives of his light of truth.

Easter

 Nature, or God, is at this season manifesting in every way the renewal of life in the material and thereby showing to thoughtful souls that this law also is carried out in the spiritual life.

 

This is the season when all life is being renewed.

New beginnings, the pulsating life throbs of Mother Nature, are felt all over the land and the very air is charged with a new vibration; the vibration of eternal life.

We feel the urge to get out in the open, to do things and to truly life in every sense of the word; to recharge our thought life and change outwardly to conform to this conception of renewal.

Like batteries that have needed recharging, our lives respond to the vital feel of growth, of change of a spiritual and material rebirth.

Do not try to carry along old thoughts that you should have discarded years ago; thoughts of defeat, of disillusionment, of despair, all negative vibrations.

Renew with the joyous Easter, the eternal spring and stand with positive, peaceful faith in all good, in the God-power within.

Easter is so misinterpreted in the Christian world. People do not go deeply enough into the spiritual significance of the Easter season.

Nature, or God, is at this season manifesting in every way the renewal of life in the material and thereby showing to thoughtful souls that this law also is carried out in the spiritual life.

Jesus’ life on earth exemplified all this and he went forth fearless, full of faith in the all good and by his perfect life made an example for all mankind to live by -- our elder brother in the spiritual life.

Easter is expressed throughout all the kingdoms, the animal, the vegetable, yes, even the material; for all is life, and all is God, in whom we live, move and have our being.

How can we fail when we realize with the fullness of spiritual thought the true meaning of Easter? That life always is.

There is only change and progress, another name for the evolution of the life forces through the material to the spiritual, a never ending upward spiral, a road to God and perfect life.

Opportunity

This plane of life is one of opportunity  ...  to give and to receive love, the greatest gift of all. 

 

This plane of life is one of opportunity to gain a greater outlook, to help others on their way, and to give and to receive love, the greatest gift of all. 

Nothing counts without love and those who have it are rich while those who neglect their loves through selfish interests or other, to them, seemingly more important things are, in truth, poor in spirit.   

Love is what we can take with us, what enriches our life, and gives us the incentive to do and to create. So many fail to see the real issues at stake and strive for material gain, material wealth, success, et cetera. How misguided.  

Our thoughts are things of force and power and are able to work near miracles for us if powered by the force of love.

Spring

When there is Spring in the heart there is youth, regardless of years lived.

We all on the earth plane add years, and physically our tissues become less elastic; less resilient with the years, but when we keep within an interest in life about us, keep busy with things that we like to do and continue to use love in our dealings with those about us, then indeed we are still in the Springtime of life no matter what our calendar age.

Our minds rule us, although most people do not realize this and blame their shortcomings on circumstances beyond their control, or even on people with whom they live or contact in other ways. But, in truth, we are the sum total of our thought and ours alone. 

It is our responsibility to make ourselves strong, courageous, truth-loving, happy, free and loving, and in doing so we enrich our life and keep our youth. Also, we must keep enthusiastic about life and the wonderful possibilities ever surrounding us. 

We have just as much chance for happiness as we do for its opposite and, with gratitude in our hearts for life’s golden chances, we should go on until the last knowing we are our destiny.

Master Plan

 

 

 There are no accidental successes or failures in life. It is all as we ourselves decree and must be worked out by the self within.

 

There is a master plan for each and every one of us and we are even now unfolding and working for this plan and towards a wonderful goal.  

We are, of course, masters of our own destiny and receive from the laws of being our rewards and our punishments through this law of cause and effect. Many do not see that this is so and feel that justice is not done, but in every case it is, although it may not be detected by us on the earth plane of existence.

We are constantly receiving and constantly causing others to receive through our efforts. In many cases, of course, the reverse is true. Many are losing out in the battle of life simply because of past injustice that they have meted out to others.  

You see it is all taken care of and we cannot really judge another because we do not see the whole picture. Therefore we cannot know all the causes of his or her seeming failures or difficulties in the life. 

Many suffer because of the injustice of others, but eventually their good will come to them if they are deserving of it. Many, you know, will only learn through their troubles. In good times they feel it is only their just due and fail to give gratitude for their worldly goods and their gifts of talent or whatever they have developed. They themselves are responsible for both their troubles and their good although it is often very hard to see that this is so. 

There are no accidental successes or failures in life. It is all as we ourselves decree and must be worked out by the self within.

There are also times when seemingly all we do is right and brings to us all we could desire in life. This is because we have earned this or it would not be. 

Everything works well for those who work in the light and keep themselves in the light of God and prepare to work out their lives with this as their goal in life.
