Responsibility

 

[Many] do not choose to believe that they could be responsible for their difficulties and for the lack in their lives, but are all too ready to accept their own part in their prosperity and good living.

 

Each one on the earth plane of life is working according to his light of knowledge or, in some rare cases, wisdom. We truly only have what we have within and that we cannot lose. We have it with us always, so if we have a great burden of sorrow, of hatreds, ills, jealousies, revenge, or the opposite of all these negative things; if we have confidence, hope, faith, goodwill, love, ambition, et cetera, we bring them with us wherever we go and they are felt by those sensitive enough to detect them in our aura.

We constantly have our thoughts, fears, hopes, et cetera with us for good or ill and, in truth. it is this fact that is the causative force of our destiny. These are God’s laws and bring justice to us whether or not, in our limited vision, we see it as so.  

All thoughts, of whatever nature, tend to attract more of the same and so constantly conditions come about because they are made to by us through the little known laws of cause and effect. Yes, truth is stranger to most people on earth, stranger than any of the fiction so widely read.   

Many would not believe this even if they were shown because they do not want to believe that they alone are responsible for their lives, their thoughts and consequent actions. They do not choose to believe that they could be responsible for their difficulties and for the lack in their lives, but are all too ready to accept their own part in their prosperity and good living.

Investing in Self

 We must invest in self -- just keep the love, the hope, the faith and confidence of life working for us and help humanity in every way we find it possible to do. 

 

If we lock our good points up in the bank of human life, they will not work for us, for contrary to human life on the earth plane and its systems of investing monies, your virtues cannot work for you unless they are used. We cannot keep them under lock and key and expect them to do anything for us. 

We must invest in self -- just keep the love, the hope, the faith and confidence of life working for us and help humanity in every way we find it possible to do. Only in this way can we realize on the investment of self. 

Money, it is true too, must be kept in circulation in order to grow for us, but what is meant here is that, although we do not lose money by storing it away for it is still there, in life we actually do lose all the virtues we fail to use and to use well. They do grow and expand with use and only in this way can we help others and thereby also help ourselves.

Use and express the love you feel, the hope, the faith, the good and the positive things of life. Push into the background all the negative elements of life, the fears, the distrust, the feelings of inadequacy, et cetera. Do not accept them when they enter the consciousness, but throw them out by supplanting them with their positive opposites.  

Try this method of living and your positive nature will grow and your whole spiritual being will benefit.

Please the Inner Man

 To do that which we know is right and to self-approve all we do is to be really successful.

 

We all should listen to the still small voice within that in the quiet can and does give counsel to us when it is needed, if we but heed and listen. This is the voice of conscience and of God, one and the same.

We must not think of God in some far away place for that is not so, he is within each one of us. To know this and to give heed to this is to have success in all we may undertake to do.   

To others it may appear that we have anything but success, but that is because they do not know and cannot realize that every step along the way is a success of sorts. We may never win the fickle plaudits of the world at large, but if we please the world and please not the self within, that is not success.

We must please in every way the inner man, the God-power within us. We must have perfect faith that this is possible and we can do it. We must banish all fear, all negation. Dare and do for this, and this alone, means success in life. To do that which we know is right and to self-approve all we do is to be really successful.   

Act only for the good, knowing you have the approval of the conscience within. Fear not the consequences, but know this. From this stems happiness and self-esteem.

Loneliness

The cure?  Briefly it is this -- greater faith in God, in self and in others.

 

On the earth plane of life’s experiences there are many who are lonely -- lonely even in the presence of others or when they seemingly have much. It is truly almost a disease this loneliness and is more widespread than is commonly supposed.

We in the light, who see things and people as they really are find this factor hard to combat for it is often deep-seated and hard to eradicate. Habits are a long time in forming and these make the task even harder.   

Many a soul who is apparently gregarious and at least outwardly friendly, we find in his innermost thoughts there are many fears, for that primarily constitutes loneliness; it all stems from fear thoughts. Fear of being alone, fear of the future, fear of death, fear of lack of courage and many others too numerous for this space, and all causing distress to the person who is affected by these long-held fear thoughts.  

The cure?  Briefly it is this -- greater faith in God, in self and in others. Lack of faith is a primary cause of this malady. We suggest to the afflicted to keep affirming faith, confidence in all and to know that all is good and all will be well.

Negative Dynamite

When people learn to use a mental trash barrel and constantly guard their thoughts, then they will no longer manifest disease and troubles.

 

When people hold thoughts that originate with envy, jealousy, hatred, revenge and other negative emotions behind them, they are playing with dynamite. These very dark, negative emotions take over the mind and play havoc with the physical bodies of those who harbor these thoughts. 

There is a little-known law that is always in operation that makes punishment immediate for these thoughts and subsequent actions, whether we are aware of it or not. At first it perhaps is too subtle to notice, but after holding these negative forces in the mind over a long period of time, they manifest in the physical as disease, or as illness and that is the true cause of disease. It does indeed originate in the mind.  

People may also harbor fear thoughts and they too, being negative, bring about their particular manifestations of nervousness and diseases of the nervous system.  

When people realize they themselves bring on their own ills and alone are responsible for their destiny, then they will destroy these thought forms when they first come into the mind and quickly substitute some good positive love thoughts that generate health and wellbeing for the personality.

Our Desires

 

Everyone’s destiny cannot be just as we would desire it, of necessity we all must vary and our lives go often in very different grooves. 

 

We all carry within us desires, hopes, fears, frustrations, ambitions, et cetera, some of which cannot be realized or brought into manifestation. Our fears, of course, we do not want manifested and yet we all do harbor some fears; it seems to be a part of the human element and something we must work out ourselves.  

Our ambitions, hopes and desires are many times manifested for us, but there are some desires, notably those involving others that, through conflicting ideas, cannot become manifested for us. 

For instance, if we strongly hope and desire for a person to be near us and to always want to be nearby, it may conflict strongly with the other person’s desires. They may desire the opposite thing and, of course, then this cannot bring about the manifestation of that particular desire. 

Everyone’s destiny cannot be just as we would desire it, of necessity we all must vary and our lives go often in very different grooves. Whatever happens is for the best and often is the only way for true growth of character.

Accept all the good things that can be and are being constantly manifested for you, but always keep in mind that the rights and desires of others may run counter to yours and therefore cannot be outwardly manifested. But all is good or lesser good and all is truly constant change.

True Feelings

We are the sum and substance of, not exactly our thoughts but, our true feelings.

Of course, thoughts are important and those we hold constantly do become convictions and then we feel differently, if they are thoughts that differ from those we have hitherto held. Changing these thoughts into feelings or, I should say, consciously trying to do this requires steady conscientious work with a capital W.   

All success in every venture depends on work in a given direction and changing our insecure, self-conscious, immature feelings into those with more power, more personality of a positive nature requires patience and real perseverance.  

There will be stumbling blocks on the road, there will be times of self-doubt, but if you will keep the end result in view and know that everything is possible to God and therefore through this power of God to man, you will win and become that which you so earnestly desire.  

You must make a start at some point so why not now? Give it all you have and know with God’s help you will succeed. The road may not be as long or as hard as anticipated. Often this is so. Our fears are often founded on thin air and when worked over are dissipated like so much fog. 

Act and then feeling will follow. Believe and it is so.
