Conquer Your True Self

 

Be true to the true self within and look within for the Kingdom of God for that is where it will be found.

 

“Seek the Kingdom of God that is within, then all else will be added unto you.”  These prophetic words are as true today as they were when first they were spoken.

Nothing outside ourselves really matters. It is our attitudes, our feelings and emotions that really make of the outward manifestations what they become to us.

We must conquer self and subjugate it so that we rule and not our feelings and emotions. We must always be at the helm. We cannot for a moment let our ship of life founder else we could easily be in distress and even founder on the rocks and reefs of life’s treacherous shoals.  

If we can keep an even keel when all else is stormy about us. If we can see through the mists and the fogs of doubt and uncertainty and steer for the quiet harbor of trust, faith and love, we will always be safe, and, what is more, always happy for with perfect faith, a cheerful countenance and love in our hearts we will win and reach our goal in life whatever it may be.  

Be true to the true self within and look within for the Kingdom of God for that is where it will be found.

Doubts

We must always follow our hearts and our heads.

 

There are times in the lives of all of us when doubt creeps in. We wonder what life would have brought forth for us had we done differently, had we made other choices than those we have followed. This is natural and right, but it is also folly for we made the right choice for us regardless of the outcome. If we hadn’t followed this path we would still have doubts for that is part of life.

We must always follow our hearts and our heads. By that, I mean our feelings about a given situation are all important to us and our thoughts that we give forth about it. They may not be correct but they are to us at least, and we need that experience or we would not enter into it. 

Life, of necessity, is filled with doubts, but it is not necessary to keep that state of mind. If and when it comes up in our minds and we wonder what would have been our life had we done differently, we must change that thought and realize that for us we did the right, the correct thing for only in that way and on that path could we learn a needed lesson.  

We must learn to be decisive, to drown our doubts and fears and abide by our choice and be happy with it, knowing that life is eternal and we cannot escape our good nor the evil either that we incur in life. 

To each his own; the choice is ours, and the doubts can go with the shadows of life where they belong.

Self Belief

Believe, have faith in the self within for you are adequate to all that comes into your life ...

 

The strength, the power, the health-giving thoughts of life are possible for all to have, for all to receive if we but tune in to these positive vibrations. We must first aspire, then we are inspired and life is revealed to us as it never before has been presented. We find our senses are intensified and we respond to outside influences as never before possible.  

Our minds, if so attuned, can act as spiritual antennas attracting to us all the good that we need and desire. Why then do we hold back from such conditions? Only because doubt and fear creep in and possess us when we should and could shut them out of our lives.  

We use what we habitually think, so always remember this truth and act and think according to your best interests and those of others who are in your environment. We shape our own destines daily by our very thoughts and habits of life.

Believe, have faith in the self within for you are adequate to all that comes into your life, and with constructive habits only the good can come.

Material World

Love is the all-powerful thought and faith is its handmaiden and consort.

 

We live, move and have our being in a so-called material world. How material is it actually? Is it not all really spiritual when you come to analyze it? 

All material substances can be found to be of a greatly condensed substance that is held together by vibratory force. In essence the material is anything but solid, but is formed from substances in cohesion one with another. 

We ourselves, however solid we may seem, are evolved from the same sort of substances we find around and about us, differing, of course, because of divine mind, which we all have and which actually is in all nature as well.  

We have the wonderful attribute of thought, which in turn brings about action, and our very environment and all conditions about and around us are caused by the all-powerful thought process ever going on. We are, in truth, what we think, and the knowledge of our true divinity is invaluable to us to bring to us success in all we endeavor to achieve.

Love is the all-powerful thought and faith is its handmaiden and consort. Both we must have within us in order to gain the Kingdom of Heaven that lies within, the keys of which are in your own hands.

Innate Wisdom

Wisdom is innate and inborn, and speaks to us with authority through intuition or flashes of inspiration.

 

All our failings, all our shortcomings are the results of our thinking; in other words, they are manifestations of error of thought. We often think our belief in ourselves is strong, yet when a crisis comes and we are put to the test, we sometimes fall by the wayside because we really lack faith in the self within and the ability it has to pull us through. We think, therefore we are, and so it is all along the line.   

Perhaps we have much knowledge, but it is wisdom that is the real savior of our lives and circumstances, and wisdom is only developed after long periods of time and many experiences, perhaps involving many lifetimes. We do not easily acquire true wisdom. It comes only when earned and few are they who have it in the fullness.  

Wisdom is innate and inborn, and speaks to us with authority through intuition or flashes of inspiration. It is not always followed for it is not always recognized for what it is, but when a person is endowed with wisdom we know he or she is a soul who has experienced much.   

If we listen in the silence to the still small voice within, we can have the sure knowledge as to whether or not we have attained wisdom for its voice is there and is unmistakable. It is the voice of God that speaks to us within to show us the way and the light of love within.

Evils of Envy

All of us should clean house mentally every so often and take stock of the kind of thought we allow to prevail.

 

To all who harbor jealous or envious thoughts, they should know they have a two-edged sword and that every thought of that nature boomerangs against themselves. 

They have a great lack of faith, these people, and apparently believe in luck and that some people have good fortune while others are unlucky. They do not realize that all their misfortune lies within themselves and has come into manifestation through their thought life and resulting actions -- the laws of cause and effect, and of attraction and repulsion. 

We never have a streak of so-called luck, it is never accidental; nothing is, no matter what the circumstance. All is caused by law or the breaking of established law and nothing can change that.

The greatest of all laws is the law of love. It will bring to us all good if we follow it in our lives. 

How little and how short-sighted are those who cannot see that by their jealous thoughts they hurt, not others as much but their own lives. It is like a poison that corrupts and corrodes and causes illness and many undesirable conditions in the lives of those who unwisely harbor such thoughts. 

All of us should clean house mentally every so often and take stock of the kind of thought we allow to prevail. If it is not constructive and positive and good, sweep it out just as you would dirt that is in your home.

Currents of Thought

Sometimes our very foundation is shattered by the blows of life, but if we are steadfast, have faith, and know within that there is a plan ...

 

Many are completely unaware of the currents of thought that color each life and bring about circumstances, favorable or unfavorable as the case may be, to each one of us. These currents of thought may be magnetized and either are of a positive nature or a negative depending upon the prevailing concept of life of the individual involved.

If we expect only the best in life and keep up this attitude under all life’s circumstances, only the best will tend to come to us, and the same, of course, is true of the negative emotions. Is it not then to our advantage to see good in every circumstance, in everything that comes our way?  

We all receive blows, disappointments, frustrations, et cetera, but these may  be just what is needed at the time to round out our ever-forming characters, to test us and see if we are strong or weak by the action of circumstance or change in the life. 

Sometimes our very foundation is shattered by the blows of life, but if we are steadfast, have faith, and know within that there is a plan, a purpose, in all that happens, then we can lift up our heads unto the hills and know that all is well.

Easter

 Nature, or God, is at this season manifesting in every way the renewal of life in the material and thereby showing to thoughtful souls that this law also is carried out in the spiritual life.

 

This is the season when all life is being renewed.

New beginnings, the pulsating life throbs of Mother Nature, are felt all over the land and the very air is charged with a new vibration; the vibration of eternal life.

We feel the urge to get out in the open, to do things and to truly life in every sense of the word; to recharge our thought life and change outwardly to conform to this conception of renewal.

Like batteries that have needed recharging, our lives respond to the vital feel of growth, of change of a spiritual and material rebirth.

Do not try to carry along old thoughts that you should have discarded years ago; thoughts of defeat, of disillusionment, of despair, all negative vibrations.

Renew with the joyous Easter, the eternal spring and stand with positive, peaceful faith in all good, in the God-power within.

Easter is so misinterpreted in the Christian world. People do not go deeply enough into the spiritual significance of the Easter season.

Nature, or God, is at this season manifesting in every way the renewal of life in the material and thereby showing to thoughtful souls that this law also is carried out in the spiritual life.

Jesus’ life on earth exemplified all this and he went forth fearless, full of faith in the all good and by his perfect life made an example for all mankind to live by -- our elder brother in the spiritual life.

Easter is expressed throughout all the kingdoms, the animal, the vegetable, yes, even the material; for all is life, and all is God, in whom we live, move and have our being.

How can we fail when we realize with the fullness of spiritual thought the true meaning of Easter? That life always is.

There is only change and progress, another name for the evolution of the life forces through the material to the spiritual, a never ending upward spiral, a road to God and perfect life.

Hope

 

 We hope, we aspire, we love and all help to keep our life worthwhile.

 

“Hope springs eternal,” an often used quotation, and one that is imbued with truth for without hope people could not go on in this life.  

This stage of life is filled with stress and storms and many trials which are necessary to our growth, and if we lost hope that these things could not be changed, could not be eradicated we would indeed be forlorn.  

Hope, next to love, is all important. Fortunately it is like a fountain within that even though utilized to the fullest extent still springs up even in the midst of flood, fire, famine and all the trials that life can bring to us as needed. 

Even the lifelong prisoner is not without hope, or a person perhaps drowning still hopes, though possibly he may suddenly feel he can no longer be rescued. When hope is gone, all is lost. Then, even though rescue comes, it is too late.   

One must hold on to hope even in the face of seeming disaster, chaos or whatever comes. It is truly imperishable and gives to us our reason often times to continue in life. We hope, we aspire, we love and all help to keep our life worthwhile.

Responsibility

 

[Many] do not choose to believe that they could be responsible for their difficulties and for the lack in their lives, but are all too ready to accept their own part in their prosperity and good living.

 

Each one on the earth plane of life is working according to his light of knowledge or, in some rare cases, wisdom. We truly only have what we have within and that we cannot lose. We have it with us always, so if we have a great burden of sorrow, of hatreds, ills, jealousies, revenge, or the opposite of all these negative things; if we have confidence, hope, faith, goodwill, love, ambition, et cetera, we bring them with us wherever we go and they are felt by those sensitive enough to detect them in our aura.

We constantly have our thoughts, fears, hopes, et cetera with us for good or ill and, in truth. it is this fact that is the causative force of our destiny. These are God’s laws and bring justice to us whether or not, in our limited vision, we see it as so.  

All thoughts, of whatever nature, tend to attract more of the same and so constantly conditions come about because they are made to by us through the little known laws of cause and effect. Yes, truth is stranger to most people on earth, stranger than any of the fiction so widely read.   

Many would not believe this even if they were shown because they do not want to believe that they alone are responsible for their lives, their thoughts and consequent actions. They do not choose to believe that they could be responsible for their difficulties and for the lack in their lives, but are all too ready to accept their own part in their prosperity and good living.
