When we change our thoughts about ourselves or about our conditions, often we find we change our very life.
A new year has started and new resolutions are made to improve old conditions, to grow mentally and spiritually and to have a greater abundance of health and happiness.
It is fine to make these resolutions and gives one an incentive, a goal which all need to go on in life. Whether or not we wholly succeed is not so important as the fact that we have this incentive and that we are trying to improve ourselves and our situation in life.
When we succeed it is like freeing a bird from a cage in which he has been imprisoned for we too are released from false conditions that perhaps have held us back and prevented our going on to greater things because our thought about it has kept us prisoners.
When we change our thoughts about ourselves or about our conditions, often we find we change our very life. And, if it is the right thought, it can vastly improve things for us. I mean by right thought, too, that it must not just be a fleeting thought but one that remains with us and one we hold to constantly in an effort to improve our mental life. In this way we also change our physical life and improve conditions in every department of our being.
It is all up to the self within, our indwelling entity to cause this change to come about and to adhere to it and work with it and then reap the reward of a better and more complete life. Our perspective will be changed, our outlook improve, our health benefit. We will be vibrantly alive to all the wonderful possibilities and a new sense of freedom from old negative fears will be ours. Happiness will result in our life and the lives of those we can influence to do the same.
