Needed Limits

Here, on this plane, we cannot ever fully understand even ourselves and it is better so for the soul growth.

 

To be understood is often greatly desired by those on the earth plane of life, but, in truth, no one really can be wholly understood except by himself, and many times he also deceives himself.

If we were truly understood and our motives and desires were revealed for all to see and know, we might be even more disliked than perhaps we feel we are at the present time.  

It is better that we are not understood entirely on this plane of life. Utter chaos might be the result when we could see revealed the envy, the jealousy, the pride, the hatred, the ruthless ambition to succeed at all costs and the desire to overpower and to suppress that which others may have obtained.  No, it would not do, and we would feel it is a hopeless cause to try to change all the low, evil emotions that people on this plane of life are expressing.  

In some rare cases people outgrow these lower feelings. In this way we evolve to a better and higher understanding of life and its motives and of the people with whom we live and contact in many ways.
