... no two people are alike, and what works well for one might easily spell doom for another.
The light (or truth) differs for each one for each sees only what he really desires to see and goes ahead only the way in which he sees an advantage to himself. This sounds self-centered and, in a sense, it is that. Yet we must help ourselves to grow and to live in just the way we see best.
We often find people will copy one another, thinking if that way is good for my neighbor, it must be also good for me. This is a mistaken idea for no two people are alike, and what works well for one might easily spell doom for another.
You cannot copy. Yes, you can try, but it never comes out the same for the ingredients differ. Just as in baking a cake one must keep exactly to the ingredients and use the same amounts in order to have it turn out perfectly every time, the same is true in life. No two are alike nor are any two situations alike, so how can one safely copy another in any way whatsoever?
Always be yourself. Keep your own pace, your own ways and success can and will be yours. To make over your life to suit another or to copy the ways of others, discounting your own ideas in life, is such a mistake. Each has his own light, his own row to hoe, so never seek to find the way as another would do or have you do.
To each his own light of wisdom.
