This is the photo which caused me to immediately halt and admire this masterpiece. To know that it is an instant photographic print is all the more amazing. As if that weren't enough, there is another one shown below in which this extremely attractive grandmother is not wearing her fashionable hat.

Carmen De Vos, Nonna Michelene, from Quality Time magazine as above. Color enhanced in Photoshop [I couldn't resist]
Carmen kindly sent along thoughts about her work:
"I am an experimental photographer with a penchant for imperfections.
I am fascinated by the unreliability of the human memory as an instrument for recording reality. Our recollection is at best a potpourri of isolated but genuine events. Sometimes, it is not even that. Often our memories assail us with a medley of impressions we have assembled ourselves throughout the years. Our mind orders, rearranges, colours, discolours, dims and accentuates our past... all by itself, independently of our conscious will. I tend to create images that could convey the subsequent memory of an event.
Hence, I actively search for the flaw, the colouration, the interpretation and deformation of reality; that which will compose our subsequent memory.
My tools and methods (old Polaroid cameras - usage of expired film - deliberate film obstructions) resemble our memory in that they are NOT precise and are not even geared towards a perfect representation. They often yield results that I could never have predicted with any certainty, because their imperfections do not allow for calculation."
