Update: Petters Group CEO, who bought up Polaroid, in the slammer!

I just came across this wild story by APhotoContributor  at this link. It's not for the faint of heart. If you recall, I was asked continually in my CBS-Sunday News interview what I thought about Petters' buyout of Polaroid. My interviewer talked about his buying Polaroid for its "logo." And, what did I think about that?

Huh? Huh? Huh?

Well, I replied that I didn't give a damn, frankly, but he persisted until I finally said, "He's crazy!" along with an explanation of why I think buying a name alone is madness when you intend to put it on stuff that has nothing to do with photography, but they cut the rest and used "He's crazy" all by itself.

It turns out, according to this weblog that he is being accused of fraud.

Here's the link to that story as reported by the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

As APhotoContributor says, Glenn Stubbe gets all the credits for bringing to us this particularly sinister photographic portrait of the man behind Polaroid Petters Group. The photo above appeared in the Star Tribune and on APC's blog and I'm using it here unless and until I get the word to desist.

This is big news.

I guess CBS picked the correct sound bite.
