It blows my mind that someone at Meredith Publishing Company could come up with that title for a page they seem to use in every issue.
I don't ever think of myself as having had an awesome (how you say -- fing job)? It was a way of making a living working on my own just a few steps across a breezeway to my shop. It certainly beat commuting.
I built this with the help of a carpenter and stone mason in 1962 and worked in it until 1980. It has the exact dimensions of a two-car garage, 20 x 24 feet.
Interior view. I worked with a couple of drawing tables and did hundreds of Polaroid designs here, which included ads and lit pieces as well as the package designs.
