John Reuter worked 30 years for Polaroid and is now executive director of the 20 x 24 Studio in New York City. He has 100 of his own photos in the Polaroid collection, and says he's more sad than angry about the auction.
He is quoted by National Public Radio as saying, ". . . not only is my work in the collection and I can't get it, and a lot of it was my best work, at certain periods of my life, but I also saw people who . . . made Polaroid a great company lose their jobs for no good reason really . . . the auction is almost the funeral in a way, because it is the last act in the dissolution of Polaroid."
