Doyle, Dane & Bernbach

DDB_150_ad

Stan's first move to create a strong and contemporary image for Polaroid was to fire the Boston agency and hire DD&B after a careful survey of ad agencies throughout the country. This is the work of their principal art director, Bob Gage. It was a trade ad that appeared in photography magazines, what we called hobby books, and it proved to me that Stan had the necessary taste as well as ambition to create great advertising and sales promo. This ad was a stunner for 1958.

FWIW I've just clicked on Category 4, Doyle, Dane, etc. in both Internet Explorer and Netscape and got a full photo immediately. Can't help beyond checking it out from here.

Where's the picture of the Ad? My browser pauses, like it's downloading something, but no image appears.
