Another beauty and so well designed as a painting. Click on all the images to enlarge.
So, I'm speechless. That's the way Al Parker's work leaves me. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday, and we'll get together again next week.

I am the daughter of Al Parker and this was one of my all time favorites of his. He used my hair and mother's hands for this one. I have very few of his originals and I wish this was one of them. Most of the work he did was camera ready only not "finished" works. In those days artists sold their illustrations and had no further rights to them. I'm glad to have discovered your website and your kind words on the works of my father.
Seeing these masterful illustrations you realise how much some contemporary illustrators rely upon the art from the fifties, sixties and before. In some cases it's almost a case of plagiarizing!
Please don't send me files and please don't tell me you have a print or a painting by one of these illustrators, or another, and ask me how much they are worth. Take the time to Google for information or seek an appraisal from a qualified art gallery.
